Founder, Editor-in-Chief

Esther J. Santiago is a recent graduate from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor’s Degree in English with concentration in Creative Writing. She is highly invested in reading international poetry, and in carrying a pen and a notebook wherever she goes. 

Poetry Editor

Kelly Rafferty is a recent graduate of the University of Connecticut’s creative writing program. She is the recipient of the Aetna Children’s Literature Award and Jennie Hackman Memorial Fiction Award. Previously, Kelly served as the Poetry Panelist on the Long River Review, a student-run literary publication. She is particularly interested in radical poetics and experimental form.

Translations Editor

Eilieen de León is a professional translator. She is bilingual in English and Spanish, and currently practices French and Japanese. She recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. Over the course of time, she has learned to love language and cultures from different parts of the world. Converting the meaning of these extravagantly different traditions to convey the message, is a mission she awaits and enjoys day by day.

Liz Sankey is a recent college graduate who is passionate about environmental justice and advocacy. She writes poetry and short stories, and has extensive editorial experience with translation publisher World Poetry Books and student magazine, the UConn Free Press.

Webmaster, Blog Editor

Lilia Shen is a writer who is in love with a lot of literature, namely the feminist, magic, and slice-of-life kind. She hopes to publish a short story collection in her lifetime. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in biological sciences and is currently a full-time medical student.
